I don’t know what kind of Kashchei and Gorynychi you imagine in your head when you read fairy tales, but I can tell you for sure that they are not evil at all. How do I know? And they told me themselves. And I regularly took notes on them. Ursula Le Guin, if I’m not mistaken, argued that it is impossible to argue with the characters, even though they are fictional. And it seems to me that it is possible. It's just useless. They will still do as they want. And not the way the author came up with it. That is why the book was 1/5 invented and 4/5 written down from the words of voices in my head. And I believe that somewhere exactly such a universe definitely exists. I also know that sometimes universes intertwine.

Ця книга "Троє, яких п'ятеро" стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Автор вміло поєднує елементи казки з глибокими філософськими роздумами про природу персонажів та їхній вплив на наш світ. Я був вражений тим, як автор передає думки та почуття вигаданих героїв, які, здавалося б, мають власну волю та характер. Це не просто історія, а справжня дискусія про те, як ми сприймаємо казки і що насправді стоїть за образами, які ми звикли вважати злими чи добрими. Переклад, хоч і здійснений за допомогою штучного інтелекту, в більшості випадків виявився якісним і зрозумілим, що дозволило мені повністю зануритися в цю захопливу історію. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто готовий до нових відкриттів у світі літератури та хоче поглянути на звичні казки з іншого боку!
