The “Instruction” came to us as part of the “Laurentian Chronicle Code” (1377). It was kept in the collection of manuscripts of the collector of monuments of Russian antiquity, Count A. I. Musin-Pushkin and, by pure chance, did not burn down in the Moscow fire of 1812 - as once at this time it was taken from there by Karamzin. Academician Likhachev calls the “Instruction” “a kind of collected works” of Monomakh and adds:
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
