Yuri Pavlovich Kazakov (1927–1982) is a classic of Russian literature of the twentieth century. His stories, which appeared in the mid-fifties, were a stunning success - they saw the author as Bunin’s successor; Aesthetic disagreements immediately arose with official criticism. However, the author of the brilliant short stories “Manka”, “Tralli-vali”, “Arcturus the Hound Dog” himself always lived on his own, without looking back at either authorities or detractors. Didn't adapt. Didn't fuss. That is why his prose has remained not only a monument to the times, but also a living, understandable conversation even now. A writer for all times.
