The work of Academician M. M. Bogoslovsky (1867–1929) is unconditionally recognized as a classic work of the historical and biographical genre, which remains the most complete study of the personality of Peter the Great and the era of Peter’s reforms. The third volume introduces the activities of Peter in 1699–1700, covering issues of the Russian-Danish Alliance, preparations for the Northern War, and ends with a story about the embassy of E. I. Ukrainians to Constantinople. The publication is illustrated with portraits of Peter I, made from life, as well as those subsequently created by Russian and foreign artists based on originals from Peter’s time.

Книга не лише розкриває особистість Петра, але й занурює читача в контекст епохи, показуючи, як його рішення вплинули на подальший розвиток Росії. Хоча текст перекладено за допомогою штучного інтелекту, що іноді призводить до незначних недоліків у формулюваннях, загальна якість перекладу залишається високою.
