Palindrome (translated from Greek - running backward) is a word or verse that can be read equally both from left to right and from right to left. The first attempt at a multi-line (and quite long) poetic work in the form of a palindrome was made by Velimir Khlebnikov in the poem “Razin” The poem “Razin” appeared at the beginning of 1920, with the subtitle “a spell of double flow of speech, biconvex speech.” Khlebnikov identified himself to a high degree with Razin the rebel. In addition to the figure of Razin, his surname also played an important role. Ra is the ancient name of the Volga. Born near Astrakhan, Khlebnikov always remembered that he was a nizar (a native of the lower river). Nizar is Razin in reverse. This word inspired Khlebnikov’s poem.
