Janusz Glowacki (b. 1938) is a Polish novelist and playwright. Lives in the USA since 1981. Winner of many literary awards. The plays “The Dirty Man” (1979), “Fortinbras Drunk Himself” (1990) and “Antigone in New York” (1992) were staged in theaters in Moscow and other cities. The novel “The Last Watchman” tells the story of the great designer, genius and tyrant John Jefferson Keine, one of whose main imperishable designs was the model of tight-fitting men's underpants. The image of this fictional hero appears in the stories of ordinary people, whose lives are somehow intertwined with the life of Kane, who personifies the real embodiment of the “American Dream.”
