The famous Polish writer Janusz Glowacki has been commissioned to write a script about the Polish-American writer Jerzy (Jesi) Kosinski, a once famous author of books written in English. A tragic and mysterious personality, a deceiver and a hoaxer, Kosinski survived the Holocaust as a child. And now, years after his suicide, he is not given into the hands of his biographer. In the process of Glowacki's work on the script, a book is created from fragments scattered in time and space, in which truth and fiction, comedy and irony, tragedy and grotesque, Poland, Moscow and New York, fictional and real characters, including the author himself, coexist. The book is bright and unexpected, sad and funny. It is read in one gulp and, leaving most of the mysteries unsolved, makes you think about a lot.
