Starting from The Jungle Book, he rethought the proud cry of the brotherhood of animals and man: “We are of the same blood - you and me!” What if intelligent beings turned out to be (or thought they were) not of the same blood? Will the hand of some semi-civilized Mowgli reach for a dagger and he will begin to divide yesterday’s brotherhood into “ours” and “not ours”?
