Silka was only sixteen years old when she arrived at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1942. Автор майстерно передає атмосферу страху та безнадії, але водночас показує, як навіть у найтемніші часи можна знайти надію, дружбу та кохання. Сілка, незважаючи на всі випробування, демонструє неймовірну силу волі, і її шлях до становлення медсестрою є символом відродження та боротьби за життя. Книга також піднімає важливі питання про моральність, вибір та людяність у найскладніших обставинах. Хоча переклад не завжди ідеальний, це не зменшує цінності самої історії. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цінує правдиві історії про людську стійкість та надію на краще
