Silka was only sixteen years old when she arrived at the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1942. The girl's beauty attracts the attention of senior camp officers, and Cilka is forcibly separated from the other female prisoners. She quickly learns that power, even unwanted power, equals survival.
