Three hundred and four years, from 1613 to 1917, the Romanov dynasty ruled the Russian Empire. She traced her origins to a Moscow boyar named Roman. The royal (from 1721 - imperial) title was borne by eighteen representatives of the dynastic family. By the end of its reign, the Imperial House numbered more than a hundred people. After the collapse of the monarchy, most of them were destined for the fate of refugees. Strict rules of family relationships were no longer observed: marriages were entered into at will, divorces were not uncommon... However, despite all the changes that have occurred over the decades, many of the descendants of the grand dukes and princesses still consider themselves, both by blood and in spirit, heirs of one of the most famous European monarchical Houses. This book includes biographical sketches about representatives of the Romanov dynasty of the 17th-20th centuries. The directory presents about four hundred people, many of whom are given detailed descriptions. Written in good language, lively and exciting, it will undoubtedly attract the attention of everyone interested in Russian history.
