The first volume of the Collected Works of Sergei Dovlatov (1941–1990), a famous prose writer who lived in Leningrad until 1978 and in New York since 1979, includes his early prose, including stories from the collection “ Demarche of enthusiasts" and "Two sentimental stories" ("The Donkey Must Be Thin", "Another Life"). The volume concludes with stories from emigrant life and the book “Compromise” - about journalistic everyday life.

Неперевершений погляд на емігрантське життя
Перший том Зібрання творів Сергія Довлатова - це справжній літературний скарб, який відкриває читачеві двері у світ його ранньої прози. Довлатов, з його унікальним стилем і вмінням передати емоції, створює незабутні образи та ситуації, які змушують задуматися над сутністю людського існування. Оповідання зі збірки «Демарш ентузіастів» та «Дві сентиментальні історії» вражають своєю глибиною та іронічним поглядом на життя. Особливо цікаво читати про емігрантське життя, адже Довлатов вміє передати всі нюанси і складнощі адаптації до нових умов. Хоча переклад тексту з використанням штучного інтелекту може мати деякі недоліки, це не зменшує загального враження від книги. Я рекомендую цей том усім, хто цінує якісну прозу та хоче зануритися в світ думок і переживань одного з найвідоміших російських письменників XX століття.
