This volume of collected works by the famous Russian writer Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Teffi introduces the reader to the works she created in exile in the 1920s. It entirely included the two most significant books published abroad at this time - “Lynx” (Berlin, 1923) and “Town” (Paris, 1927), as well as some stories and feuilletons published in Parisian newspapers, but not included by the author into collections. Most of the works are distinguished by subtle irony and gentle humor, which continue to define the writer’s approach to life. The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
