Innokenty Fedorovich Annensky called himself “the son of a sick generation,” the skeptical mood of the turn of the century influenced the poet’s mindset, and his work is imbued with the spirit of crushing false idols and shrines that have not justified themselves. Critical reason became the only judge of what is happening in his lyrics. This mind wanted to know the exact measure of modern man's capacity for love. Annensky’s literary influence on the movements of Russian poetry that emerged after symbolism, such as Acmeism and Futurism, is very great. In the book by I.F.
