The literary guide opens the issue: “The Wodehouse Case.” The title, of course, is a pun: here is both literature as the classic’s life’s work, and an event catastrophic for the reputation of the British author - work on German radio during the Second World War. The English writer Robert McCrum (1953) is trying to sympathetically understand the intricacies of this biography, fragments of whose book “The Life of Wodehouse” are published by IL magazine translated by Andrei Azov and Igor Mokin.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
