Eusebius of Caesarea, Pamphilus, bishop. (c. 265 - c. 340), Greek. writer, the first historian of the Church, whose works have survived to this day. E. is rightly called the “father of church historiography”, since, unlike his predecessors (Egesippus, Julius Africanus, etc.), he tried to give his work the character of completeness and systematicity.

Книга "Церковна історія" Євсевія Кесарійського є справжнім скарбом для всіх, хто цікавиться історією християнства та його розвитком у перші століття. Євсевій, як перший історик Церкви, вдало зібрав і систематизував інформацію з багатьох втрачених джерел, що робить його працю надзвичайно цінною. Читання цієї книги дозволяє заглибитися в події, які формували християнську громаду, а також зрозуміти контекст, в якому виникали Євангелія. Незважаючи на те, що текст перекладено з оригіналу за допомогою штучного інтелекту, якість перекладу в цілому задовольняє, а деякі неточності лише підкреслюють унікальність цього видання. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто прагне дізнатися більше про раннє християнство та його історію, адже роботи Євсевія залишаються незамінним джерелом для новозавітної історії.
