The "Life of Constantine" by Eusebius (Pamphilus) of Caesarea is a funeral homily on the occasion of the death of the emperor, which is actually addressed to his sons and heirs. This work sets out the political theory of Eusebius, primarily his view of the Christian monarch and the problem of the relationship between the Christian church and the Christian empire.
