“Tales of the Three Hemispheres,” published in 1919, belongs to a turning point in Dunsany’s work. From short stories he moved in the 1920s to novels - marvelous and enchanting, but different. I tried to reproduce the troubled spirit of the original text and the original composition of the cycle. In American editions of the 1970s (1972, 1977), “Tales of the Three Hemispheres” were supplemented with texts from other books (in particular, the section “Beyond the Familiar World” was published in this book, which included three stories about Jann). I practiced with the original 11 stories. But only for now...
