The question of the literary environment of young Lermontov at the Moscow University Noble Boarding School is in no way new. Starting with P. A. Viskovaty, he has attracted constant attention, and thanks to the research of N. L. Brodsky, B. V. Neumann, B. M. Eikhenbaum, F. F. Maisky, T. M. Levit and others researchers, we now have quite a lot of material about the literary orientation of the young poet in 1828–1830.
