The book combines three works by the famous historian, which have already received recognition from specialists, and form a kind of trilogy. It examines various aspects of the history of medieval steppe powers. The first part is dedicated to the Mongol Empire of the 13th century, the second to the Golden Horde of the 14th century. and the final one - the Great Horde of the 15th century. Each of the states under consideration, being the successor of the previous one, played an exceptional role in the Eurasian space and in the history of Russia.

Автор зумів вдало поєднати три роботи, створивши цілісну картину розвитку монголо-татарських імперій. Читач отримує можливість зануритися в захоплюючий світ середньовічних степових держав, дізнатися про їхню роль у формуванні історії Росії та Європи. Перша частина про Монгольську імперію вражає глибиною аналізу, друга — про Золоту Орду — розкриває нові аспекти її впливу, а третя — про Велику Орду — завершує трилогію логічним підсумком. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, загалом книга читається легко і цікаво. Рекомендую всім, хто хоче краще зрозуміти історію та культуру цього регіону!
