In the Skraeling Tree, Ulric is kidnapped by Indians, and Ouna sets out to find him. Elric, at the same time, searches in an alternate medieval Europe for the man who created the first Black Blade. On his travels, he meets the incarnation of Gaynor and goes with him to North America. Ouna also moves to America, where he meets Ayanawatha, an Indian leader whom Longfellow sang in his poem under the name Hiawatha. Gradually, all roads converge at the world Tree, and a battle begins there that determines whether the Multiverse will continue to exist or not... Also in the novel: Klosterheim, Sepiris, Prince Lobkowitz, the world serpent and others... The book makes a strange impression - there is a lot of Indian themes in it ( and references to "The Song of Hiawatha"), Scandinavian mythology and a LOT of philosophical reasoning that in some places completely overwhelms the plot.

Неперевершена подорож у світ фентезі та філософії!
Книга "Дерево скрелінгів" вражає своєю глибиною та багатошаровістю сюжету. Автор майстерно поєднує елементи фентезі з історичними та міфологічними мотивами, створюючи унікальний світ, в якому мандрують не лише персонажі, а й ідеї. Одна з найсильніших сторін книги - це її персонажі, які, незважаючи на фантастичні обставини, виглядають дуже реалістично та емоційно. Оуна та Елрік, кожен зі своїми цілями та переживаннями, стають символами пошуку істини та сенсу в житті. Проте, варто зауважити, що філософські міркування, які пронизують текст, іноді можуть затінювати основний сюжет, роблячи його менш динамічним. Незважаючи на це, я вважаю, що ця книга стане справжнім відкриттям для тих, хто любить глибокі роздуми про життя, людство та його місце у всесвіті. Переклад, хоча й має деякі недоліки, не заважає насолоджуватися цим епічним твором. Рекомендую всім, хто готовий зануритися у світ фантазії та філософії!
