Literature in the Hungarian language exists not only in Hungary itself, but also beyond its borders. After the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Treaty of Trianon signed in 1920, Hungary lost part of its territories, leaving about a third of its former Hungarian-speaking population outside the country’s borders. For almost a hundred years, writers and poets from the Hungarian “near abroad” have maintained contact with Hungarian literature, enriching it with the unique experience of close communication with other cultures. The collection “Hungary beyond the Borders of Hungary” presents works by Hungarian writers from Transylvania, Vojvodina, Southern Slovakia and Transcarpathia. Literary and artistic publication 16+
