Spain, 1354. Bishop Berenguer of Girona needs to come to Tarragona for the council of bishops. Overcome by illness and out of favor with both the King of Aragon and the Archbishop of Tarragona, Berenguer reluctantly agrees to this trip and asks his personal physician Isaac to accompany him. To top it off, Isaac’s wife, despite all the persuasion, intends to go with her husband and takes Raquel, her and Isaac’s daughter, with her. However, real trouble is yet to come: someone is killing the Pope's envoys, whose bodies were discovered on the road leading to Tarragona. Isaac will have to call on all his wisdom to get to the bottom of the truth and find the mysterious killer. "Antidote to Greed" is a fascinating historical detective story by the Canadian author Caroline Rowe (pseudonym of the historian and writer Medora Sale) from a series of novels about the investigations of the blind doctor Isaac from Girona.
