For the first time, the memoirs of the aide-de-camp of Emperor Nicholas II A. A. Mordvinov are published in full. The second part (“The Abdication of the Sovereign. Life at the Tsar’s Headquarters without the Tsar”) describes the internal experiences of the emperor, his reaction to what was happening, as well as The author’s personal assessments of Nicholas II and his immediate circle. The third part (“My Prisons”) presents a detailed story about the author’s several arrests, his time in prison and his unsuccessful attempt to leave Russia. Separate memoirs of Mordvinov are also published here: “My meetings with a girl who calls herself the saved Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna” and “How I knew my sovereign and how others knew him.” The publication expands and complements the range of sources on the history of Russia at the beginning of the 20th century, the House of Romanov , the last Emperor Nicholas II and one of the most tragic pages - his abdication and the death of the monarchy.

Книга "Із пережитого. Спогади флігеля-ад'ютанта імператора Миколи II. Том 2" є справжнім шедевром, що відкриває читачеві унікальний погляд на внутрішні переживання імператора та його оточення в часи, коли Росія переживала одні з найскладніших моментів своєї історії. Автор майстерно передає емоції та думки Миколи II, його реакції на події, що відбувалися навколо, а також глибокі особистісні оцінки, які дозволяють зрозуміти, яким був цей імператор насправді. Частина про арешти автора та його перебування у в'язницях додає ще більше драматизму та глибини до розповіді. Мемуари Мордвинова, які включені в книгу, є чудовим доповненням, що збагачує контекст та надає нові перспективи на життя останнього імператора. Хоча переклад тексту не завжди ідеальний, загальна якість книги та її зміст компенсують ці недоліки. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто цікавиться історією Росії та особистими історіями, що стоять за великими подіями!
