Outstanding German writer, Nobel Prize winner Thomas Mann (1875–1955) is the author of the novels “Buddenbrooks”, “The Magic Mountain”, “Lotte in Weimar”, “Doctor Faustus”, and the tetralogy “Joseph and His Brothers”. The volume of memoirs and journalistic prose by Thomas Mann includes his memoirs - “Children's Games”, “Sketch of My Life”, excerpts from the book “Discourses of an Apolitical”, articles devoted to the work of great German and Russian writers. Arranged in chronological order, they give an idea of the evolution of the creativity and worldview of this brightest representative of German culture of the twentieth century.
