Читачі занурюються у світ Лондона початку XX століття, де модні ательє та жорстокі злочини переплітаються в один клубок. Особливо вражає, як автор розкриває психологію персонажів, їхні переживання та мотивацію. Розслідування Арчі Пенроуза тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки, а несподівані повороти сюжету додають динаміки. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які не заважають загальному сприйняттю, ця книга залишає глибокий слід у пам'яті.
