This book opens a new series dedicated to a complete, but at the same time, accessible presentation of the ideas and results of the scientific direction “New Chronology”. The book is dedicated to the analysis and reconstruction of Russian history. Domestic history is naturally of greatest interest to the Russian reader. In addition, as the authors’ research proves, Russian medieval history is one of the most important cornerstones in the edifice of world history as a whole. The book examines in detail the issue of the notorious “Tatar-Mongol yoke” in Rus', the location of the Battle of Kulikovo, and what “The Horde” and the “Mongol conquest”, about how reliable the Russian chronicles available today are and when they were last edited, about who Ivan the Terrible was. The authors invite the reader, if possible, to abandon unfounded ideas about the history of Rus' and look at it a new, unbiased look. The book does not require any special knowledge from the reader and is intended for all those who are interested in Russian and world history.
