Maria Sergeevna Petrovykh (1908-1979) is a poet whose life and literary destiny was not easy. Although her poems, full of drama, revealing a strong and gentle character, were admired by A. Akhmatova, O. Mandelstam, B. Pasternak, during her lifetime she gained fame primarily as an excellent translator. This publication introduces the reader to the poems, translations and letters of Maria Petrov , in our opinion, gives a fairly complete picture of the work and personality of this wonderful Russian poet.
