The most tragic period in the history of the siege of Leningrad was 1942, during which the German command tried in various ways to wipe out the city on the Neva and destroy its inhabitants. However, the Leningraders managed to survive, despite all the hardships and suffering. The book, dedicated to the operations of the Volkhov and Leningrad fronts from January to September 1942, contains more than 130 photographs, drawings of military equipment and maps of military operations.
