This collection includes most of Cicero’s purely philosophical (without any mixture of politics) treatises, the texts of which, fortunately for us, have been preserved in their entirety or with very few omissions. Written in the traditional form of dialogues or collections of letters in Antiquity (the conventional “addressee” of which in this case is Cicero’s son Mark), they fully express the unbending, almost Puritan moral and ethical principles of the author - the first in the galaxy of great geniuses of the Roman Stoic tradition, which continued and in many ways changed Greek stoicism.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.

Ця збірка творів Цицерона стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Читання його трактатів про біль, горе і смерть дозволило мені поглянути на ці вічні теми з нової перспективи. Цицерон, як перший великий геній римської стоїчної традиції, майстерно передає свої морально-етичні принципи через діалоги та листи, які, хоч і написані в античні часи, залишаються актуальними і сьогодні. Я вражений тим, як автор спромігся поєднати глибокі філософські роздуми з простотою і зрозумілістю викладу. Хоча переклад тексту іноді містить недоліки, загальна якість залишається на високому рівні. Ця книга стала для мене не лише джерелом знань, а й важливим емоційним досвідом. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться філософією, етикою та пошуками сенсу життя!
