Covin, known under the pseudonym Klotz. His name is new to our reader, he is famous for a whole series of detective stories in which there is a brave adventurous hero who invariably finds himself at the center of dramatic events. And, finally, an old detective story... M. Level's novel was first published in Russian in 1909 and did not last long reprinted. Its hero - a young journalist who became an accidental witness to a terrible crime - suddenly decides to take the blame...
