1944. The assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler was successful. The Fuhrer is dead. The leadership of the Reich in the person of Bormann, Goebbels and Goering, taking advantage of Himmler’s absence in Berlin, decides to hide the fact of Hitler’s death and install a previously prepared double in his place. Автор майстерно створює напружену атмосферу, де інтриги, підкилимні війни та боротьба за владу між лідерами нацистської Німеччини стають основою сюжету. Особливо вражає, як автор зумів передати психологічний стан героїв, які опинилися в ситуації, коли їхнє життя та кар'єра залежать від таємниць та маніпуляцій. Книга змушує задуматися про те, як легко можна змінити хід історії, і які наслідки можуть мати навіть найменші рішення.
