Summer 1900. In neighboring China, the Yihetuan uprising, better known as the “Boxer” rebellion, breaks out. Their troops begin to disturb the Far Eastern borders of the Russian Empire. Advisor Oleg Vladimirovich Bely, sent from St. Petersburg with an inspection, arrives in the border town of Blagoveshchensk-on-Amur. Автор майстерно поєднує реальні історичні події з вигаданими персонажами, створюючи напружений сюжет, який тримає в напрузі до останньої сторінки. Олег Володимирович Білий, як центральний персонаж, викликає симпатію завдяки своїй рішучості та відданості справі, а його боротьба з часом та обставинами робить читання ще більш захоплюючим. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно впливають на сприйняття тексту, книга все ж залишає глибоке враження. Рекомендую всім, хто цікавиться історією та любить детективні елементи в літературі!
