Twelve years have passed since the day when, as a result of his friend’s experiment, Belov traveled from 2005 to the eighth century. There, an engineer by training and a detective by profession, using tools, books and things that were in a private house, was able to create a society that was an order of magnitude higher in the technical development of the surrounding tribes, many of which did not emerge from the Stone and Bronze Ages. Two compatriots helped him in this: rural machine operator Fyodor Popov and rural teacher Natalya, who accidentally fell under the influence of the experiment. The Ural Union, which included the Ugric and Slavic tribes of the Kama region, withstood constant attacks from surrounding tribes and was able to occupy its niche in the Urals. Craftsmen and traders, students of Belov, created a strong technical and commercial basis for the well-being of the Urals people. However, unusual goods that appeared on the markets of northern Europe, Byzantium and Persia attract not only merchants, but also lovers of easy money. The short period of peaceful life of the Urals residents was ending, they were facing new trials.
