Автор майстерно переносить читача в середину першого тисячоліття, де ми разом із Бєловим, відставним офіцером, переживаємо його пригоди та виклики. Я захоплювався тим, як Бєлов адаптується до нового життя, налагоджує стосунки з сусідами, займається торгівлею та навіть створює вогнепальну зброю. Цей процес побудови нового життя в історичному контексті виглядає дуже правдоподібно і захопливо. Пригоди, в які він вплутується, додають динаміки сюжету, а елементи фентезі, такі як дракони, роблять його ще більш інтригуючим. Хоча переклад тексту дійсно має свої недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися історією. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить історичні романи з елементами фантастики та пригод!
