When council officer Chris Buckley is approached by an odd old man demanding help in healing a decades-old family rift, he sends the stranger away. "Життя потонулих" - це книга, яка вміло поєднує в собі елементи трилера, детективу та психологічної драми. Сюжет розвивається навколо офіцера міської ради Кріса Баклі, який, спочатку відмовившись допомогти дивному старому, опиняється в центрі небезпечної гри, коли той виявляється вбитим. Автор майстерно створює напружену атмосферу, яка тримає читача в напрузі до самого кінця. Кожна нова деталь, яку відкриває Кріс, веде до ще більшої загадки, і читач відчуває, як разом з героєм занурюється в темряву таємниць, які краще було б залишити похованими. Хоча переклад книги має деякі недоліки, це не заважає насолоджуватися захоплюючим сюжетом та глибокими персонажами. Рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить інтригуючі історії з несподіваними поворотами!
