"The Root of Evil" is a children's fairy tale in verse about how, due to disobedience to his father, a son harms a poisonous snake and its offspring. One of the snake's daughters survives, turns into a girl, marries her son and begins to take revenge, but everything ends happily. Poems are about love, fidelity, nature and everyday worries.
