The book “Light in the Darkness” was written during the most difficult years for S. Frank, the years of World War II, when he lived in the south of France, enduring poverty and hiding from the raids on Jews carried out by the Nazis. The book is an attempt at religious comprehension of the author's personal ideological and life experience. S. Frank gives a harsh assessment of totalitarian regimes: “Whoever understands the spiritual essence of Russian Bolshevism cannot help but see in National Socialism and fascism its brother in spirit - just a new version of godless demonism.” Until 1988, the book was banned from import into the country.
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
