Three previously unpublished stories by American writer Jerome David Salinger have appeared on the Internet. Moreover, as the author bequeathed, they should have been published no earlier than 50 years after his death. The authenticity of the stories was confirmed by Salinger researcher Kenneth Slavensky. In an email to Buzzfeed, he wrote: “Although I consider it unethical to publish Salinger's stories, the texts in this document match the texts of the copies in my possession.” The book includes the stories “An Ocean Full of Bowling Balls,” “The Birthday Boy,” “ Paula."
The text of the book was translated from the original language using an artificial intelligence program. For the most part, the translation of the text is of very high quality, but in some cases, due to the imperfection of the technology, there may be incorrect phrase translations in the text, as well as single words and expressions may not be translated.
