Ця книга стала для мене справжнім відкриттям. Історія Лексі, яка прагне втекти від похмурого життя в англійській глушині, і її перетворення в самостійну жінку в Сохо 1950-х років захоплює з перших сторінок. Автор майстерно переплітає долі трьох героїв, показуючи, як їхні життя взаємопов'язані через час і простір. Лексі, Еліна та Тед — кожен з них має свої мрії, страхи і таємниці, які роблять їх реальними і близькими. Я відчула, як їхні переживання відображаються в моєму власному житті, і це стало для мене дуже зворушливим. Книга порушує важливі теми кохання, материнства та пошуку себе, що робить її актуальною і в наш час. Незважаючи на деякі недоліки в перекладі, які незначно вплинули на сприйняття, я все ж рекомендую цю книгу всім, хто любить глибокі та емоційні історії. Вона залишила в мені багато думок і почуттів, і я впевнена, що ще не раз повернуся до неї.
