The story "Attention: miracle mine!" written on a documentary basis. In February 1963, Ovid Gorchakov, in an essay on the pages of the Izvestia newspaper, for the first time spoke about the mysterious explosions in Kharkov captured by the enemy, about the miracle mine, about the glorious mine-explosive operation of the Great Patriotic War. The essay evoked a lot of responses, the author received hundreds of letters from readers, including from participants in the events he described. The writer's search continued for almost ten years before this story appeared, telling passionately and excitedly about the unprecedented feat of our miners and intelligence officers, military engineers and sappers, inventors and communist leaders, heroes of the workers of Kharkov.
