Mikhail Yuryevich wrote a rough historical novel about the Scot George Leirmont, who became the founder of the Russian Lermontovs, which he gave to me to read before his death... M. Yu. Lermontov had a premonition of his imminent death then, back in St. Petersburg . In Stavropol, he told me that he was not at all alien to the gift of his ancient ancestor Thomas Lermont, a bard and prophet, a relative of the Scottish kings already in the 13th century... At this point the preface, written by the hand of Mongo, Stolypin, friend and second of M. Yu. Lermontov, ends . What follows is the manuscript of the same Stolypin, written, apparently, based on the notes of M. Yu. Lermontov himself. This manuscript was discovered by me in June 1981 in the Vatican Library.
