Once upon a time there lived a junior student, Kolka Kocheryzhkin. He lived by the principle: “Lessons have probably already started, so don’t rush, don’t rush, you’ll still be late.” In his pocket, Kolka carried a penknife, which could easily be used to cut off a thin birch tree, strip the bark from an aspen, and break off a flowering bird cherry... The trees did not tolerate the insult and declared a boycott of Kocheryzhkin. But Kolka was not afraid of the threats and he himself declared war on the trees. He took pest beetles as his allies. Kolka showed the beetles the way to the young Pioneer Grove, for which he was awarded the title of “bark beetle.” Kolka also really wanted the beetles to eat his fifth desk in the third row... But suddenly Kolka realized that along with the desk the beetles would eat the class, the school, and the village - everything would turn into dust!.. Drawings for the adventures of Kolka Kocheryzhkin created by favorite children's artist Leonid Vladimirsky. Source:
