What is commonly called “Soviet philosophy,” which existed for almost 80 years, was not a homogeneous phenomenon. In conditions when Marxism was officially recognized as the ideological basis of the entire spiritual life of the country, various schools of thought were present in philosophy, even if in an implicit form. It is clear that Marxism, and Soviet Marxism in particular, is not only a philosophical, but a socio-political and economic theory and practice. However, in the monograph of Doctor of Philosophy S.N. Mareev we are talking about one of the traditions in Marxist philosophy in the form in which it developed in the USSR.
