The same words are fully applicable to the novel by Winston Groom that formed the basis of the film - and to its sequel. So, after Gump's Shrimp Company went bankrupt, Forrest was stuck in New Orleans, sweeping the floors of a strip club. But one chance meeting with an old acquaintance led to another - and now Forrest is trying to return to big-time sports, accompanies Colonel Oliver North to Iran for secret negotiations with Ayatollah Khomeini, and then, playing football under the Berlin Wall, inadvertently changes the course of history...
