In one of the central regions of Russia, a particularly dangerous gang carries out raids on the houses of clergy. He robs and kills his owners, after which he disappears without a trace. To combat rampant criminals, a special group is created, which includes police lieutenant Porfiry Vasin. A former border guard, he gets down to business and soon reaches out to the Gypsy diaspora, who trade in bloody raids. The only thing left to do is to detain the robbers. But it’s not so easy to catch a gypsy by the hand. And then Vasin and his comrades decide to use military stratagem against the bandits...
