This volume of the Eastern Series most fully represents to date the work of the great poet of Ancient China, Qu Yuan. In addition to the famous poetic cycles of Qu Yuan “Nine Tunes” and “Nine Elegies”, translated by A.I. Gitovich, the book presents translations of his works made by such masters as academician. V.M. Alekseev, L.3. Eidlin, A.A. Akhmatova, A.E. Adalis, A.I. Balin, G.O. Dnieper. The appendix reproduces an anthology of translations of Qu Yuan's poem "Lisao", among the authors of which are A.A. Akhmatova, A.I. Gitovich, A.I. Balin, as well as a fragment of the work of I.S. Lisevich “Literary Thought of China”, where an analysis of the poet’s work is given.
