In the monograph brought to the attention of the reader, for the first time an attempt has been made to comprehensively consider the main socio-economic and political characteristics of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. 25 years of independence is enough time to draw conclusions about the characteristics of the Baltic “model” of economics and politics. The small size of the Baltic states is combined with large-scale problems in the relations of these states with Russia. It was here that the processes of destruction of the Soviet model in the economy and politics of the late 80s and early 90s of the twentieth century were launched and implemented. The concept of continuity and “Soviet occupation” became a determining factor in the formation of post-Soviet Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. What results did the Baltic states achieve a quarter of a century after gaining their second independence?
