The book continues the tradition of publishing monuments of Ugaritic culture in Russian: in 1993, “The Ugaritic Epic” was published, this publication represents the first translation in Russian historiography of Ugaritic poetic stories about the Strongman Ba'lu, the central hero of Ugaritic mythology. The translation is accompanied by an introduction, a detailed commentary, as well as publication of the Ugaritic text.
