Vyacheslav Aleksandrovich Kalikinsky is a journalist and prose writer, author of historical novels, member of the Union of Writers of Russia. The Ahasfer series of books consists of five fascinating retro spy detective stories, four of which are dedicated to the work of counterintelligence in Russia in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The action of the last, fifth, takes place closer to our modern times, being, in fact, a sequel to the main branch with other heroes. The Second World War is ending. Japan capitulates and hands over all available weapons to the winners, even a collection of ancient swords, symbolizing the fighting spirit of the empire. Due to difficult weather conditions, a plane delivering a rarity to an American cruiser makes an emergency landing on Sakhalin, where the pilots are hiding valuable cargo. But they themselves are captured by a remnant group of Japanese soldiers. The trace of the collection is lost. Many years pass, and they begin to look for it in order to take it out of Russia. However, the historian and writer Andrei Berg, a Japanese citizen with Russian roots, unexpectedly intervenes in the game being played by various parties. A familiar name for those who have read previous books in the series. Read the second volume of the final story “Agasphere”.
